Type of Organization: We are an international Holocaust education organization working with educators, museums, community centers, religious centers universities and libraries.
Mission: The Butterfly Project is a call to action through education, the arts, and memorial-making. Through lessons from the Holocaust, we educate participants about the dangers of hatred and bigotry to cultivate empathy and social responsibility, combat antisemitism, and help ensure that every child receives quality Holocaust education. By painting ceramic butterflies, which are displayed as symbols of resilience and hope, participants remember the 1.5 million children murdered during the Holocaust.
Services: In class presentations; memorial making, NOT The Last Butterfly documentary film to launch public and school programming; teacher training; 2nd 3rd & 4th Gen Speaker’s Bureau & workshops.
